Cycle of Hope for Africa was a success!

Seeds of Hope is proud to announce the success of our November fundraiser, the Cycle of Hope for Africa.  God blessed us with a beautiful day and a safe ride for our bike riders.  The morning began with the A dvanced R ide at 8:30 am when 29 riders headed out to Lopez Lake from the Mission Plaza.  At 10:15 am, the SLO Fun R ide began with 21 people riding over the hills of SLO to the Saucelito Winery where they enjoyed a refreshing pit stop overlooking the spectacular Edna Valley.

Back at the plaza, the advanced riders pedaled in as Chase McBride, winner of the New Times A rtist of the Year, played guitar and sang to the crowd.  We were also blessed to have The Bucket Busters from local Drum School 101 perform.  Their beat filled the plaza and downtown San Luis Obispo.  They even invited some kids (young and old ) to come up and play with them for one piece.  We ended the event with announcements and awards for Tommy Aldridge, who raised the most pledges for Seeds of Hope, and Alyssa Lacey, who was the most creative rider.  Kirk and Denise spoke a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has helped Seeds of Hope become what it is today and encouraged more people to partner with us into the future.

This event would not  have been possible without our sponsors, volunteers, and participants.  We want to thank everyone who donated financially toward this event and all those who gave their time to make it a success.
